Stephen Joseph Harper ~ A man Who Inspires Both the Carrot and the Stick!

Does This Man Not Inspire You?

Apparently he Provides Inspiration to  Carrots and Sticks Alike 

The followers of the Cons are inspired by him and have a very interesting theory about this odd statement. Watch this slightly longer longer version and that fact should be apparent. They are claiming that it proves that he is human.

Seriously? Five years into his primeministership, and even his followers feel that his being human still requires proof? How very odd that seems. But they have a point in a way, because the jury is still out on that issue. 

I have often said that he was inhuman, not because he is not a human, but because he has so very little empathy for others. I have called him a robot, not because he does not possess a heart, but because he so rarely uses it. He appears for the most part to act as a slave to his programming. I call him a puppet, not because he is inanimate without a ventriloquist, but because he so easily says what it is that is expected from him by his handlers. Even when the names of those puppeteers change from time to time. 

That is no doubt a very dangerous circumstance and we can but hope that a year from now I am not writing of  the very odd direction he gets while on the lap of Mitt Romney.

It seems that Mr. Harper  inspires the man weilding that big stick above. 

But the best and most recent example of his ability to inspire the use of excessive force 

comes from idiot Minister of Public Safety

Vic Toews.

Added Mike Patton, a spokesman for Toews: "Our government will always take action that protects the lives of Canadians."

Canadian law enforcement and security agencies should focus on getting rid of information that bears the taint of torture, not on carving out exceptions for when it can be used, said Alex Neve, secretary general of Amnesty International Canada.

"The bottom line is that as long as torturers continue to find a market for the fruit of their crimes, torture will continue," he said. "Firmly rebuffing torturers when they offer up information extracted through pain and suffering is a critical plank in the wider campaign to eradicate torture once and for all."

The Liberal Party of Canada has finally resolved to legalize pot.

Over seventy-seven per cent of delegates at the Liberals' biennial convention in Ottawa in a vote that can only be described as overwhelming, told their party's leadership Sunday morning that they want a future Liberal government to legalize marijuana. That number is fairly consistent with any poll taken anywhere in Canada. Canadians are tired of the war on drugs and many are worried about Bill C-10 now part of the Harper Government's War on Pragmatism.

Their interim leader Bob Rae acknowledged the war on drugs hasn’t worked, but told reporters the party's caucus would have to study the implications of the resolution.

"Frankly, the status quo doesn't work and that's what needs to change,” Rae said. “The Liberal party is saying that the current laws do not work and that we need a new direction.”

“It’s now up to us to take that resolution and see exactly what it will mean in terms of policy, because there are some practical questions that we have to look at,” Rae added, saying in French that one such issue would be how to control the supply of legalized pot.

Rae insisted he was completely at ease defending the principles of the resolution and that he would work with the membership on the issue in the months and years ahead as the party drafts its next election platform.

“I accept that it is the will of the party that was expressed today and we will continue to work together,” ~ Rae 

And in his Closing Remarks, he added:

"Now that we have decided to legalize Marijuana,

We Will Be Even Happier!"

I am lucky enough to have met Bob Rae in person, and had a quiet moment or two with him during the last Election Campaign in Moncton N.B. and I have to admit that at that meeting, the subjects of Crime, Harper's War on Pragmatism, and the War on Drugs all came up. I told him that I was also against Harper's War on Canada. I told him that I wanted to launch a "War on Stupid", and We had a Great laugh!


You see, he has a wonderful sense of humour and besides, he already knew that I had the Government of Harper Land squarely in my sights. I mean seriously, They mess up almost every day and  had already seen the Back of that nice shirt! Lol!

Another 50,000 or so Canadians are busted every year for possession; throw in 20,000 or so traffickers and producers and this so-called war is costing us as much as $400 million annually in law enforcement, court and corrections.

 I Searched High and Low for the Perfect Holiday Card for Our "Dear Leader" 

It finally occurred to me that he might like something a little more personal and from the heart, 

so I weighed my very intense feelings for him and came up with this. 

It really manages to encapsulate my sentiments exactly.

Twas the Night Before Crushmas and all over my Wall 

I'm thinking up ways to help "Dear Leader" Fall.

He Pisses me off in more ways than one,

And pulling his strings is always great Fun.

So I'll do what I do and I'll do it with Joy.

Before it's all over He'll be my new toy.

I'll not be so careful as good kids would be,

I'll take him and shake him and break him with Glee.

So please come and join me as I get my kicks.

Cause that's how I deal with odd ignorant pricks

Who think they're above us in so many ways.

We'll heel them and cow them and number their days.

We'll gather our voices  we'll do it no doubt.

Together we'll raise such a clatter and shout

"Be gone you old Weirdos ~ Be gone you old Fools

Your Party is Over ~ Now We make the Rules!"

And when the old Bugger finally fades out of sight 

We'll know that we've done it and won the good fight!
